I was still in late teens when a senior in college recommended me a book. Well, no. I think it was some creator. or maybe some public figure. I don’t remember exactly but I am glad I took this recommendation and purchased the book: TO SELL IS HUMAN
Till the time I read it, I saw sales as a sin. A sin that I did not want to commit.
But for a moment, see it like this: Am I not ‘selling’ an idea of ‘sales is a sin’ when I tell people about it?
Yeah, this is what I learnt from this book. A new concept of Non Sales Selling
In non sales selling, you do not indulge in a transaction of finances. It is sales and it involves exchange of capital but SOCIAL (not financial capital)
But why am I telling this to you today?
Building relationships is a form of non-sales selling. Here, you are to
sell who you are (personality)
sell what you make (presence)
sell why (personal branding)
Be it with your parents or friends, employees or employer, colleagues or romance; you are always required to sell. And going by basic principles of sales, recurring sales require you to keep upgrading.
Upgrade your:
ideas
mind
muscle
Some easy methods to build leverages
Keep creating fresh on the side
Meet a lot of people outside your network
Take very good care of your body with exercise and nutrtion
Keep diversifying the umbrella of your revenue and thus, income streams
Know that there’s no playbook, keep doing yourself: Your way!
