It was a bright sunny evening as I sat on the first floor of a coffee store in posh Khan Market. Overlooking the garden & parking space, I was staring outside the window when my companion broke the silence.
“So, how do we settle thumbnails, finally?”
We had met to discuss the course of how our 100 videos on Indian Constitution will be seen online. I opened my diary and started scribbling something which is now the backdrop of the thumbnails.
The first note I took was of the new Indian Parliament. From Delhi, I quickly jumped to Vivekananda Memorial of Kanniyakumari and before the flight in my mind could land, I had it already hovering over Statue of Unity in Kevadia, Gujarat.
From the wester coast, I took off to take a bird eye view of Victoria Memorial and before I could think, boom; Gateway of India!!
While the popular narrative would have taken us next to somewhere in central India, the flight was hovering over INA Memorial of Moirang in Manipur where Netaji’s INA first landed on Indian soil.
This was my favorite addition. While I wanted to spend some more time here, the compulsion of time took us to the western border of Indian landmass and we were at the newly inaugurate Jallianwala Bagh.
Once I paid my respects to the martyrs of this barbaric incidence of Indian history, next 2 choices were easy. Bhoj Tal of Bhopal and Teen Murti Gandhi statue met my eyes and for the 10th one, we went to the northern frontier.
Spent great time at the Dal Lake before finalizing the backdrop of Lal Chowk.
All these 10 videos are now out, you can check them on Instagram
